In the entertainment industry, the more physically attractive a person is, the higher their chances of becoming famous and earning good money. But what can we say of jobs which do not require a pretty face to get things done?
It turns out attractiveness has a strong influence on people’s careers and earning potential.
Studies confirm that hiring and recruitment managers have a soft spot for attractive faces and tend to rate them more favorably.
In one study, researchers sent out resumes for job openings and batched them into eight resumes per opening. In each batch, four resumes had one of four pictures: an attractive man, an unattractive man, an attractive woman, or an unattractive woman. The other four resumes had no pictures at all.
