The Best Brain Exercises To Boost Memory — According to a New Study
Scientists are really curious about how to keep our brains healthy and make them work better over time.
The brain is the engine of life and consciousness, and figuring out ways to take care of it is a big focus for them.
One of the ways they figured out to keep the brain healthy and make memory better is by doing physical exercise.
But until recently, not much was known about which specific exercises can produce the most benefits to the brain.
The big question was: Do you have to do really intense exercises, or can simple things like climbing stairs or going for a jog around the block be enough for the brain?
What The New Study Found
Researchers from the Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health at University College London, sought to answer this question.
What they discovered is that exercise can actually change the brain in ways that make memory better, improve decision-making, and boost thinking skills.
In the study published on January 7, 2024, researchers monitored almost 4,500 individuals in the UK. These participants wore activity monitors on their thighs 24 hours a day for an entire week.
