Stress is a nearly universal human experience that contributes to poor health.

Data from the American Institute of Stress shows that about 33% of Americans are extremely stressed. The case is no different for the rest of the world.

Stress impacts your physical, mental and emotional health, leaving you weak, drained, and ineffective.

Unfortunately, most people cope with stress the wrong way by engaging in unhealthy lifestyles that worsen the impacts of stress on them.

Some of the impacts of prolonged stress include the risk of asthma, ulcers, heart attack, and stroke.

But apart from those, stress also exerts an even more damaging effect on the immune system.

The immune system is the body’s defense mechanism, consisting of billions of cells that travel through the bloodstream.

These cells move in and out of tissues and organs, defending the body against foreign bodies (antigens), such as bacteria, viruses and cancerous cells.
