6 Signs That Show a Person is Lying to You
Lies turn relationships into soar grapes

Lies are painful and deceptive.
That’s why we don’t just hate it, we also avoid those who lie to us.
When someone lies, they’re doing so to weaken you, to get an upper hand in some way, whether it’s in a relationship, business negotiation, or any other context.
Unfortunately, knowing when a person is lying can be a bit hard.
In fact, we’re better at identifying truths compared to spotting lies. We tend to over-assume that what someone is saying is the truth. This is called the “veracity effect.”
The truths is simple know. Lies are covered in layers of complexities. So, how do you know when someone is being untruthful or telling you bare-faced lies?
It would have been great if we had an in-built lie detector; an internal lie-o-meter.
But since we usually don’t, we have to rely on learning a set of skills that can help us spot lies quicker.
You can improve your odds of detecting when someone is lying by paying attention to these little details that most people miss.
Excessive details
When people lie, they often provide excessive details and embellishments in their stories.
This is a subconscious way to compensate for their lack of depth and create the impression of being credible.
Research confirms this: Liars are generally wordier and often speak in more complex sentences.
Truth is straightforward; it needs no coloring.
People focus on stating facts to support their arguments when they know they’re being truthful.
They understand that the facts speak for themselves; they don’t try to make them sound nicer and add unnecessary details.
I admit that some people have a natural inclination to be wordy. However, it’s a giveaway clue about if someone is merely filling the airspace by being verbose.
Take note of when someone is giving out too much information, it could be a way to confuse by constructing elaborate layers of lies.
