Addiction is hard to deal with, and it is also costly.

Businesses lose over billions of dollars every year because of people misusing alcohol, nicotine, prescription drugs, and other addictive behaviors.

When people are addicted, they need medical care or be more likely to get hurt at work, which costs businesses money. Plus, they might miss work and less work getting done, which is bad news for everyone.

Also, drug addiction contributes to more than 90,000 deaths, while tobacco is linked to an estimated 480,000 deaths per year.

These are really big numbers and show just how serious the risks are for people with addiction. Addiction can hurt not just a person’s health, but also their relationships, their ability to work, and their financial situation.

It has affected many people and families around the world. However, through years of research, we have been able to learn more about how addiction works, its effects on the brain, and strategies to beat it.
