I hate being stagnant.

It’s like a stagnant puddle of water that acquires an unpleasant odor, changes color, and ultimately dries up.

Stagnation keeps you grounded in the same spot, stops your growth, learning, and improvement. And eventually renders you obsolete.

However, habits are the biggest source of stagnation in life.

Here are some of them that people cultivate that leads to stagnation.

You Don’t Care About Being Stuck in The Same Spot

When someone makes peace with living below their potential, they stop caring about progress.

They stop bothering about being at the same level, year after year.

They become attached to what they achieved in the past and no longer have the motivation for growth.

What proves you want growth is the desire for improvement. It’s the fire in your belly to want be better today than you were yesterday.

If you have a child who can’t walk and keeps crawling when they should be running, you’ll be worried. You’ll take the child to a doctor to find out what’s wrong.
