When you think about it, some of the things people think are hard to do are the things that change our lives the most.

  • Going to the gym consistently is hard, but it’s how you burn calories and stay healthy.
  • Sitting down to study and do research is hard, but it’s how top students make good grades.
  • Having that tough conversation with your partner can be hard, but it’s how you remedy your relationship.
  • Saving for the future is hard because you don’t get to spend all the money today, but it’s how you raise money to invest and build wealth.

Your level of success is directly proportional to your willingness to do hard and comfortable things.

When you push yourself to do those things you don’t like to do but are necessary, you set yourself up to have an easy life.

Unfortunately, many people prefer to do what’s easy and comfortable. They watch TV, scroll through social media, consume processed foods, and pursue instant gratification.

It may seem more convenient to do what’s easy. But over time, your life will eventually become challenging if all you do is do the easy things.
