Have you ever tried to form a new habit yet occasionally find yourself going off track?

Many of us aspire to eat healthier, wake up early, exercise regularly, or work toward specific goals, but at times, we falter.

Slip-ups happen to all of us, but they don’t have to derail your progress.

Here are practical strategies that will help you get back on track when you mess up.

Identify The Root Cause of Your Challenge

If I have a problem, the first thing I do to solve it is to understand what the problem is about.

What went wrong? What caused the problem? What mistakes did I make? What led to those mistakes? How do I avoid making them next time?

Without clarity about the root cause of the problem you’re trying to solve, recognizing mistakes, or understanding your triggers, no strategy will make any difference, and your efforts will be cosmetic.

At best, it may work for a while but before long, you’ll have deepened the problem because the cause of it hasn’t been fixed.
