Buying Fancy Gifts to Settle a Rift

Giving gifts can be a thoughtful way to show your partner that you care about them and want to make things right in your relationship.

However, it can also be one of the most subtly manipulative behaviors if the goal isn’t a sincere intention to stop doing what caused the crisis in the first place.

When there’s a misunderstanding in a relationship, you want your partner to address it as openly and honestly as possible.

You don’t want your partner to buy you gifts or other fancy things so that you can close your mouth and pretend that everything is okay without dealing with underlying emotional issues.
