5 Things I’m Extremely Grateful For This Year

At the beginning of the year, my friend Nicholas told me he’d be getting married to his girlfriend by the end of the year.

I encouraged him to go for it.

Over days and months, we kept talking. He’d planned to save up some money for the wedding this December. But last week, he called me and sounded sullen on the phone.

“I can’t go on with the wedding this year,” he told me.

Many of us began the year with high expectations. But everything hasn’t exactly gone as we wanted. And you might be tempted to complain about the things you didn’t achieve more than the ones you did.

If you take the time to count your blessings, you’ll be amazed at the incredible number of inspiring things, big and small, that will fill you with joy and excitement.

Nick, even though he couldn’t conclude his wedding plans, got promoted and was sent to a new city to assist in building a new branch of the company he works for.

Here are a few things that I’m super grateful for this year:
