To get into a flow state and achieve peak performance takes a certain level of attention and focus on the job at hand.

It’s not possible to build that level of active cognitive engagement that produces deep work if you’re always juggling a bunch of things all at once.

But most people multitask and choose to turn a blind eye to how it affects their ability to be creative and productive.

If you’re a chronic multitasker, your impulse to jump from one task to another is usually high. You switch between tasks without completing what you were previously working on.
