The world is full of people who expect life to revolve around them.

They assume others should be available, responsive, and emotionally composed at all times without ever stopping to ask if they offer the same in return.

But being considerate isn’t about tossing out a lazy “please” or “thank you.”

It’s about stepping outside your own bubble and realizing that life doesn’t just happen to you. Everyone is carrying their own weight.

If you’re guilty of these six behaviors, take this as your wake-up call.

Expecting Others to Always Show Up for You Without Knowing What They’re Going Through

We always expect people to be there for us, be it our friends, family, colleagues.

We assume they should reply quickly to our text, remember important dates, and show up when we need them. And when they don’t, we take it personally, get angry and tell ourselves that they don’t care enough.

But one thing I’ve learned is that life isn’t that simple. Everyone is fighting battles you can’t see.
