Most people underrate the impacts regular lack of sleep can have on the body.

Sleep is essential for your brain and body to work at their best.

Most cells and organs in your body will either break down or not work at their full capacity if you’re not getting the right amount of sleep each day. That’s why sleep experts recommend at least 7 hours of sleep for all adults.

When researchers look at the sleep pattern of more than 10,000 people, they found that the body’s ability to function declines if people don’t get up to seven or eight hours of sleep.

However, you can increase the risk of certain health conditions if you’re regularly sleeping less than the required amount.

Lack of sleep ages your skin and body over time

A major impact of regular lack of sleep is that it accelerates the aging processes of body cells.

In a study commissioned by Estée Lauder, it was found that poor sleep increased signs of skin aging.
