5 Signs of High Sugar Level In Your Body
Know when you’re building up unhealthy sugar and what you can do about it
Sugar is found in most food that we eat. This can make it difficult to completely escape from it without conscious effort.
But even though sugar plays important role in the body, accumulating an excess of it has been linked to chronic health challenges such as diabetes, cancer, obesity, and heart diseases, among others
This is why doctors advise that we don’t consume too much sugar.
You feel hungry even after a meal
When you build up an unusually high sugar level in your body, one of the things you will experience is the tendency to constantly feel hungry even after just eating a meal.
The food we eat is usually broken down in the stomach and then enters into the bloodstream as glucose. The insulin hormone makes it possible for our cells to absorb this converted glucose and use it as energy.
But when you accumulate too much sugar, your body will no longer be able to move that glucose into the cells. This is because excess sugar affects insulin production. As a result, your body can’t convert its food into energy.
