Memory loss is one of the dreaded aftermath of aging.

As people get older, their brains undergo various changes, including a gradual decline in certain cognitive abilities, such as memory, attention, and processing speed.

These changes can have significant impacts on our quality of life, including our ability to carry out simple, day-to-day tasks.

Memories Are Recorded, Not Lost

For long, it was thought that as people get older, they lose the ability to recall what they knew in the past. That is, their memories are lost.

For example, if you have an 80-year-old dad who likes telling stories about their youthful days, they may remember having breakfast at a certain restaurant, but not exactly what they ate. Or they may recall having a particular conversation but not what they said.
