Make choices with your future self in mind.

If you want your life to be drastically different five years from now, you need to learn to take steps each day that will make the next day better.

Every day should build on the progress of the day before.

Having your future self in mind is about being clear about how your daily choices and behaviors affect your life over time.

We often underestimate how much our current behaviors affect our future and overestimate their impacts in the present. This leads to regrets later as people make all kinds of wrong choices.
