One hidden expectation women have that challenges masculinity is wanting a successful man who’s always at home. Women often say they want a man who is ambitious, financially stable, and successful.
They admire a man with clear goals and a strong sense of purpose. Yet, they also expect him to be home every evening for dinner, to listen attentively to how their day went, and to spend weekends together in the park or giving undivided attention on holidays.
What they often don’t realize is that success requires sacrifices. It demands long hours, focus, and constant effort outside the home.
Success doesn’t have an “off” switch. A man who achieves success has to keep working hard to maintain it.
