Figuring out what someone cares about goes beyond what they say—it’s about what they do.

People may talk about their values and priorities, but it’s their choices and how they make them that reveal their true commitments.

Here are examples how someone’s decisions can uncover their values or priorities.

How They Spend Their Days

Time is a finite resource, and how people choose to spend it is a clear indicator of their priorities.

You can know someone’s priorities from their decisions by observing how they spend their time on a daily basis. It will tell you what what matters to them.

If someone says they care about something but never creates time for it, they’re just lying. Time is the currency of priority. As the scriptures say, “Where a man’s treasure is, there will his heart be also.”

Someone can claim to value family but consistently chooses work or personal activities over spending time with loved ones. For such a person, their actions speak louder than words.
